Keith wins SPE student paper contest
Cody Keith was honored at the 2022 Society of Petroleum Engineers Western North America Region Student Paper Contest.
University of 性十八.cc Fairbanks alumnus Cody Keith has won a first-place award in his division in the 2022 Society of Petroleum Engineers Western North America Region Student Paper Contest.
Keith won the master鈥檚 of science division, competing against students from the University of Southern California and Stanford University. His presentation topic was 鈥淓valuation of the Oil Recovery and Economic Benefit of the First-Even Polymer Flood Field Pilot to Enhance the Recovery of Heavy Oils on 性十八.cc鈥檚 North Slope using Machine-Assisted Reservoir Simulation.鈥 The research project was co-funded by the U.S. Department of Energy and Hilcorp 性十八.cc.
Keith will compete next internationally at the SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition in Houston, Texas, on Oct. 3.
Keith graduated in 2022 with his master鈥檚 degree in petroleum engineering. He completed a dual bachelor鈥檚 degree in petroleum engineering and geosciences in 2022 and works currently as a surveillance reservoir engineer at ConocoPhillips 性十八.cc in Anchorage.
