UAF College of Business and Security Management offers unique, hands-on learning opportunities year-round. Between volunteering on event committees, touring local accounting firms, and discounts on professional clothing, there is an experience for everyone!
What You Give:
Submit weekly committee reports, successfully lead your committee, attend about five
BLOY Committee Chair meetings in Fall Semester.
What You Get:
Leadership training, teamwork, problem-solving skills, networking, resume building,
event-planning experience. Skills gained from working on this event are highly-coveted
from employers.
Participating in the UAF Business Leader of the Year is a voluntary opportunity. It
is a superb way to earn funds for student organizations while building a skill set
of teamwork, leadership and networking.
The annual CBSM Fall Etiquette Seminar and Dinner, sponsored by KPMG and the UAF Alumni
Association, will provide students with the tools needed to conduct themselves as
well-rounded professionals in formal situations. Professionals from across the state
join an etiquette panel to share their wisdom with students and help them learn valuable
lessons in the social graces.

- 3:30-5:00 pm: Meet the Firms
- 5-7 pm: Student and Professional Dinner
